Aurora Aksnes Born June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora occasionally stylized in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Label Decca Records in May 2015 with great praise from musicians and music blogs as well as the media. The singer has released a number of high-profile song covers, including Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and are widely loved. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway in a blog entry added to the musician's praise. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a piano in her loft and being attracted by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music. It was not for work or as an interest, but in order to grow. To achieve this she began to write songs that were her own creations. Her influence comes from famous authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her attraction to Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music publicly, not for the sake of trying to achieve fame, but rather to inspire others to realize just how important that they are, and the impact they can do for the world. Her first piano lessons began at the age of six, and began creating music when she was nine. It wasn't known to her family about it until she reached fourteen. It was never a dream to be Aurora. She claims that she enjoys making music. She says that music is her most preferred way to feel anything.
